Description
Bokhara rugs generally are deep red in color but can be made with a number of
shades of red from a deep burgundy red to a bright “sports car” red. A common
design element among all Bokhara rugs is known as the “elephant foot” – a design
made from a octagon gull typically colored in brown, blue, black or ivory. These
rugs have a soft, luxurious feel that is a result of the wool used to make the
rugs.
